As Part of VIP Team, Rsignia, Inc. is Awarded TIPSS-4 Contract
COLUMBIA, MD — February 20, 2011 — Rsignia, Inc., a leading provider and technology innovator of cyber security solutions, successfully obtained a TIPSS-4 contract. The company was part of the Visionary Integration Professionals (VIP) team (Contract Number: TIRNO-11-D-00036) that was awarded one of the TIPSS-4 Contracts for the IRS. TIPSS-4 (Total Information Processing Support Services) is the fourth generation of this contract and is a multiple award, Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract, with specific support service requirements defined at the task order level. The IRS has many legacy tax systems that any successful offeror must be able to provide maintenance and update services, if successful during task order competitions. An IDIQ type contract is considered the appropriate vehicle to procure these services. TIPSS-4 has a $6 billion ceiling value over a period of 10 years, the initial base award of 5 years then following with five 1- year options.
Mr. Wannemacher, VP of Contracts and Operations said, “Rsignia will focus our efforts on the Cybersecurity (CS) aspect of the contract with our existing Intellectual Property (IP) as well as the development of new solutions which will allow the IRS to test and assure the data they maintain remains secure.” The ITS principal task area includes all aspects of security including risk analyses, development of recommendations and implementations, new procedures and changes plans to existing systems, project management skills and tools for managing, tracking, reporting, and transitioning large-scale systems. As Mr. Wannemacher stated, Rsignia’s efforts are detailed but not limited to the following CS listed areas:
